What to Include in Your Wedding Ceremony.

The beauty of your wedding ceremony is that it can be as long or as short as you like. Most of the couples I have married say thirty minutes is sufficient. This is why it is a great idea to choose a wedding officiate who is willing to co-create your vows with you instead of taking charge. It is important to understand what you want on your very special day. The best ceremonies are those in which the bride and groom have input but are also open to suggestions.

The following is a sample wedding program. The next several blogs will include details and tips about each.  When the time comes for you to plan your wedding ceremony you will be ahead of the game.

 1.  Processional

 2.  Opening words

 3.  Giving in marriage

 4.  The lord’s prayer

 5.  Definition of marriage

 6.  Wedding vows

 7.  Exchange of rings

 8.  Closing poem

 9.  Declaration of marriage

10. Introduction of newlyweds

Look through the list and share if there is something else you would like to include in your ceremony. If so what is it? Help other couples who are planning their wedding ceremony. Leave a comment below.
